As of 03/09/2025 we have raised 80% of our goal!

In response to our campaign and coalition victories in 2024, a family foundation has generously offered to match all funds raised by the CLT up to $100,000. The total (new funds plus match) of $200,000 will be help us hire a new Anti-Displacement Organizer and sustain this staff person for several years. The organizer will:

• Work with our member leaders to conduct outreach in properties owned by speculators and support tenants who want to collectively control their housing and help them form or strengthen their tenant associations.

• Bring tenants together in ENYCLT’s United Against Speculators campaign so that they can support each other’s tenant association organizing.

• Work with the tenants and other CLT staff to launch powerful acquisition campaigns to acquire and rehab their homes and transition to coop ownership.

Having a dedicated organizer on staff to do this work will deepen our neighborhood impact and enhance our ability to prove the scalability of our work.
